Types of Italian pizzas

All across the world there are millions of fans of a great Italian dish called Pizza. People relish it like anything and therefore it is a favorite food among people of all ages. Pizza outlets are easily located at every nook and corner but has anybody imagined how many types of pizzas there can be. Let us have a quick look about the various types of pizzas available at pizza outlets.

There can be many combinations of an Italian pizza. There can be different pizza crusts, different pizza sausages and different pizza toppings. These all the factors are responsible for the different varieties of pizza. Some of the varieties are given below:
Chicago Style pizza: This pizza is Chicago’s invention. The pizza originally has a crust made up of butter and along with butter a good amount of cheese and tomato sauce is also there in this pizza.

Brick Oven Pizza: This is the most delicious pizza as wood fired brick is responsible to add special flavor to this pizza. These pizzas are easy to cook and are about two inches thick. The toppings of the pizza are thin and light therefore they can be easily baked. It takes roughly two minutes to bake this pizza.
Deep dish pizza: Deep dish pizza is one among the oldest pizzas. This pizza was also invented in Chicago. This pizza has a thick crust made up of bread. The crust can be one or two inches deep.

Greek pizza: It has a base made up of herbs. The toppings of the Greek pizza have broccoli, onion, bell peppers, olives, cheese, mozzarella and olive oil.

Grilled pizza: In this pizza the dough used is rolled out in a desired shape and then baked on either side. After this the pizza are decorated with the toppings and then again grilled.
New York Style pizza: A very fine pizza with thin wide slices. Toppings of New York style pizza include tomato and mozzarella. This pizza is taken with sauce. This pizza is thin and crispy. The pizza is made up of gluten flour. This is extremely thin and can be folded while eating.

Italian Pizza: Pizza was originated in Italy and hence Italian pizza is world -wide famous. It is also baked in the oven like other pizzas and has a flat round base of bread which is covered with mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce. Other toppings may also be added to increase the flavor and taste of pizza.

Pan pizza: Pan Pizza is one among the popular pizzas. It has a relatively thick crust and has various kinds of toppings.
Stuffed crust pizza: Stuffed crust pizza is a new invention. The outer circumference of this round pizza is densely stuffed with mozzarella cheese.

Sicilian pizza: it has got his name from its place of origin. It is made up of anchovies and a typical pecorino cheese.
Thick crust pizza: It has thick crust because the dough is baked for more time to make it thick.
