Pizza is an easiest thing to order these days, as they are readily available at every street. You can choose from variety of toppings, and this is the best part most of the people like about pizza. One can find different kind of pizza in the market like Traditional crust pizza, deep dish pizza, New York style pizza, calzone, bagel pizza, pizza bread, frozen pizza, and many more varying from area to area. Some have thin crust while other have thick one, some have dense toppings while other have less dense toppings.

The most common and popular style is a Traditional Crust pizza, whose crust is neither too think nor too thin, ordered by people who don’t know much about pizza crust, so they opt for the traditional one, as they most of the people are not familiar with thick or thin crust.

The other popular kind of pizza is Deep Dish Pizza, originated in Chicago, has much thicker crust and heavy toppings, and is also known as pan pizza. They took more time for baking compares to a regular one, yet one slice could proves to be a full meal for lots of people. New York Style Pizza tends to be much thinner than their Chicago counterparts. Generally the thin crust takes less time, also if toppings are not heavy either. The popular Calzone is fundamentally a gourmandized pizza crust. California style pizza is essentially nouvelle cuisine pizza, baked with exotic toppings and a large amount of fresh produce. The style was invented by Chez Panisse in Berkeley. Then comes the Detroit style pizza, also known as the Sicilian Square Pizza, is square cut, with a thick crust and toppings layered under the sauce.

Another popular one is Tex-Mex, which is usually served in the southwestern part of United States. This style incorporates special flour, which gives the crust a wheat chip flavor. This kind of pizza is usually topped with corn, sliced beef or other Tex-Mex toppings. Different states in US, have different styles for instance, pizzas in the Pennsylvania and Ohio areas can be distinguished by the use of provolone cheese instead of typical mozzarella. In the North California, pizzas are loaded with seafood especially smoked salmon.

In essence, the toppings, flavors, baking, sauces, crusts– right about anything of the pizza can be varied as one chooses to grace one’s taste-buds with. There are no limits to the experimentation the pizza can survive, and no limits to the imagination of the cook!
